Chiang Mai Thailand

Chiang mai is the second largest city after Bangkok and is located  northen Thailand,built in 1296 as a walled city surrounded by a moat.Located 700 km north of Bangkok.
It is the capital of Chiang Mai Province,a former capital of the Kingdom of Lanna (1296-1768) and is a tributary Kingdom of Chiang Mai from 1774 to 1939,Among the highest mountains in the country,which lies along the Ping River is a major tributary of the Chao Phraya River .Chiang Mai means " New City " and replace Chiang Rai ( founded in 1262 ) in the capital of the kingdom of Lanna.

The city is divided into four,namely : Nakhon Ping,Srivijaya, Mengrai,and Kawila.The first three are on the west bank of the Ping River,and is located on the eastern edge Kawila.Nakhon Ping district comprises the north side of town.Srivijaya,Mengrai ,and Kawila consist of the west, south,and east respectively. Center - the city of city walls - most of the Srivijaya environment .The city is now becoming increasingly popular with foreign travelers spread of this magnificent tourist sites .
In recent years ,Chiang Mai has become an increasingly modern city and has attracted over 5 million visitors are foreign tourists Tourism has gradually changed from a quiet area into a tourist paradise while maintaining the charm of the province.
Thailand people are always friendly and courteous full of smiles.Chiang Mai is one of two tourist destinations in Thailand on the list of " 25 best tourist destination in the world '.There are various ways to journey to Chiang Mai from Bangkok city via flying about 1 hour .

You will experience a variety of attractions in the national park as a tiger royal zoo, night safari , limestone caves,upper tree zipping,golf,riding cart,cooking schools,river dragon,fairs,bazaars,bars and clubs,orchid and butterfly farm ,snake farm,royal palaces,museums,hot springs,silk and silver factory - smith,village crafts,folk dancing dinner,trekking,Thai Massage,and many more.


If you then visit Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas , there are also a number of ancient temples are still in use today by Buddhist monks.

Maybe it's just part of the story behind the beautiful city of Chiang Mai Thailand, does'nt adequately describe a city that still uphold cultural values.
